Tuesday, September 27, 2011
6:30 – 9:00 p.m. in Niwot
RSVP 303.665.0175 for the specific location
Suggested donation $10
First, we will view the documentary “For the Next 7 Generations,” in which 13 indigenous Grandmothers from around the world were brought together by one woman’s vision, the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Filmed on location in the Amazon, Mexico, and North America, it ends in India with a private meeting with the Dalai Lama. For more information and to see the trailer, please see the official website.
After viewing the film, Karen will guide us on a “journey” to our healing and sacred space in another dimension called the Middle World. Then, in a longer guided journey, you will have a chance to ask your Teacher or Helping Spirit to show you how the gathering of the 13 Grandmothers is significant for your personal life.
Karen Rice King has practiced shamanism since 1970. She did her Vision Quest with Sun Bear in Colorado in the late 1970’s.
Lauren Bond Kovsky did her Vision Quest in 2001 as part of her M.A. studies in Environmental Leadership at Naropa University. She provides nature education and life coaching through wilderness expeditions for individuals and groups. For more information, see ThePathTransitions.com.
We would appreciate a donation of $10 per person, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The donation covers the cost of the DVD and snacks, and allows us to continue offering these events. This is only the beginning of a partnership between Karen and Lauren. Thanks for your participation!
