For the past two decades Karen Rice King has been perfecting her version of a technique called “Earth Acupuncture”. King practices many forms of energy medicine on people and the earth as she has been intuitive her whole life. She can recall instances of clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience since a young age, and embarked on her life as an intuitive healer after a diving accident facilitated her to “self-heal“.
Her modalities are many, but in recent years she has focused more on alternative methods, such as “Geobiology” and some Indigenous Practices. “I have always loved nature and recognized its power and ability to help us.” In 1992, after an auto accident, King sought out Slim Spurling and Bill Reid, who are known internationally for mitigating negative stress on properties.
Around this time, Karen began studying with Sandra Ingerman who served as the Education Director for the Foundation of Shamanic Studies with Michael Harner. “It is a nice blend,” states King. “With the geobiological aspects being corrected and scientifically proven as such, we need to view the spiritual aspects of this work as well”. In Earth Acupuncture, a g e o b i o l o g i s t dowses for “ g e o p a t h i c stress,” zones of energy which conflict with and cause harm to living organisms.
They find the meridians, or unseen energy lines, and map them out for the healing procedure. These meridians can be caused by underground water flow, radiation, elements in the soil and human impact (technology, construction, etc). These energy lines can be as frequent as every 6-8 ft.
Dowsing is an ancient method now used by governments and industries to determine the location for building structures, or finding “missing” people and things. King teaches folks to find these negative stress lines. Once found, and participants learn to install the special gauge copper rods everywhere the stresses are found. The “negative energy” is deflected away from the home or building, and the work can be guaranteed for ten years. “Provided your pup doesn’t dig them up,” laughs King.
A workshop is being offered in Twin Lakes, Colorado on July 29 and 30th. A free talk and demonstration will be held in Aspen, Tuesday evening, August 1 at 7pm.
Aspen Workshop is set for September 30 and October 1. Attendees will go home with a
compass, pendulum, training manual, book, and dowsing rods to do their own home and office. “The savings are considerable. I have to charge $1500 and up for mountain properties. And as beautiful as they are, there is sometimes just as much stress in the mountains as on the front range grid”. Participants can go home and do their own home.
